Best Faux Wedding Flowers for a Rustic Wedding
Rustic weddings are known for their organic and natural look, from raw paper and twine invitations to the wooden crates or barrels that are used as décor. The natural theme is also seen in the venues, with barns with exposed wooden beams and often warm inviting fairy lights.
But what flowers go best with a rustic wedding? With the earth tones and the wood grains that are common place in the rustic theme, there are several options to choose from for matching floral accents.
Below is a list of flowers and arrangements that we make that we think are perfect for your rustic floral wedding.
Eucalyptus and Ruscus
The natural, muted, cool green tones in eucalyptus and ruscus lines up perfectly with the natural themes that are so deeply engrained with the rustic theme. Going with a unique all-greenery theme through bouquets and centerpieces can heavily lean into the natural side of rustic weddings. Eucalyptus is also excellent in faux, especially since real eucalyptus seeds are actually toxic. Having a eucalyptus floral theme is a great choice, but may be a risk for decor. All of the greenery in our Eucalyptus and Ruscus collection is high quality faux, meaning there’s no worries of toxicity if the arrangements are close to the food and drink, and handled as part of the bridal party’s bouquets.
Soft Toned Flowers with Deep Accents
Flowers are excellent for bringing in a pop of color to the darker, neutral tones seen in rustic weddings. The reason we feel that flowers are better in faux is not only to avoid the fragility and time constraints of real flowers, but the wide array of colors faux flowers can achieve. So many colors can complement the rustic theme, especially when paired with lush but muted greenery. Not sure where to start? We suggest considering earthy tones like burnt orange and champagne, or softer colors like dusty rose and mauve. These go excellently with the softer greenery colors without overpowering the color scheme.
Roses
Roses may seem like too obvious of a choice, but there’s a few reasons to not overlook this floral staple. While natural roses have a limited scope for colors and push wedding themes down very specific routes, faux roses don’t have such restrictions. They’re available in a variety of matt colors and nude tones, allowing us to include them perfectly in the rustic theme. Natural roses can be quite expensive and fragile, meaning they’re often the focus of the arrangements. With faux roses that are made from silk, they can be just as delicate looking, but nowhere near as fragile or costly. This makes them a perfect accent to your rustic wedding.
